SAS Survival Handbook

Author: John "Lofty" Wiseman

First Published: 1986

Summary: I don’t think you can ever finish reading this book. It is jam packed full of really practical survival tips. My brother and I both have a copy of this book and it inspired us to camp out in the bush for a night. We lit a campfire with flint and magnesium, built a shelter out of broken branches and two trees, made a bed with dried grass and slept the night in it with survival blankets that our granddad gave us which looked and felt like aluminium foil!

The shelter has survived 1 ½ years of rain, wind and crazed, half blind wombats.

This book is a really great survival book and guaranteed to get you out of the house trying to make shelters, snares or identify poisonous or edible plants.
